Actually, it’s about ethics in music journalism.

It’s a news and opinion site. They promote the news and releases they feel are worth covering, because they’re passionate about it or feel that their audience are going to want to hear it. Of course occasionally it feels like they’re getting paid to promote — does anyone really care if there’s a new Buke and Gase record coming out? — but Tom’s gotta pay for those specially-made extra tall clothes somehow.

Miya has a really great range. One of my favs from her is “Give It To Me” because of how she belts out that slow headbanger of a chorus. The recorded version of it is incredible and somehow she has managed to top it every time I’ve seen her live.

She’s gonna be playing much bigger venues than the Troub, and soon.

Her voice reminds me at times of a less-intentionally-weird version of Katie Stelmanis from Austra.
