As a member of the target demo of those artists at the time, I felt there was misogyny at play in how she was treated by my peers. The same pre-frat teens who were ride-or-die for Asher (or early Mac Miller or OF or whatever) would be the first to talk about Kreayshawn not being real because ghostwriting/labels/race/etc. Media might be “equal opportunity”, people are not.

She was no different than Asher Roth, they were all terrible white rappers of the time according to the blogs of the time. Really felt the media did her all wrong back at the peak of her success and sucks to read that she was going through some shit while being exploited. There was a lot of misogyny surrounding coverage of her.

I remember seeing Kreyshawn at the one and done Popped Music Festival in Philly back in 2011. She came after Titus Andronicus and Rakim. What a weird (but really good) day of music.
