I think it’s mainly Cameron Crowe’s depiction of the music industry being some kind of rosy, fan-boy, ‘experience’ where you get to meet all these amaaaaazing famous people and work a ‘non-conventional’ job and be ‘different’ and just seems so… immature? It’s like what a 13 year old thinks it’s like to work in music.
