I appreciate that Stereogum will take paid article placements from corporate behemoths, redistribute the payment to writers like Kelly, and then appropriately review the item. I like that (as far as I know) they only do it for things this ridiculous.

In reply to alteph.. First off...good on ya! I would absolutely try BIAB (brew in a bag) You get 90% of the experience of all grain brewing with 25% of the gear. All you need is a decent burner, a boil pot, a BIAB bag, and a single fermentation vessel/carboy. You can likely be brewing for about $200-$250. All things considered I think More Beer is the best supply store. Start with a simple pale ale. You've got this.

From Kelly’s last line, I guess it’s not another word for sparkling water like I always assumed (pretty sure I’m single-handedly keeping San Pellegrino a going concern), so…what? In reply to blochead. I’m more on board with this trend than I am of the $5/can smoothie grenades that some brewers call “sours”. The last one I had literally tasted like a Bud Light Mangorita. My biggest gripe with spiked seltzer is that soda water, vodka, and citrus juice tastes twice as good for like 1/4th the cost.
