What astounds me the most about this narrative (which is great, by the way) is not that the ugly ass jean jackets cost $400 (not really all that surprising, honestly) but the woman that started waiting in line at 2AM for the store to open 10 hours later. I wonder if she felt kind of stupid about herself when, seven hours later, there were only two other people behind her. I mean, of course she bought a jacket! Shit, if I waited in that line for 10 hours, unnecessarily, for a Chainsmokers jean jacket I wouldn’t let that price tag scare me away. She’s fucking dedicated to this!

Weird to me to want to have merch from a band like this. I’m not judging the band here (I mean they are truly wretched but that’s not the point) I just think it’s odd to want to wear gear that tells the world “I LOVE that thing that is the most popular thing in the world and you probably love them too!!!!”
