ESPN Linear Networks To Broadcast 10 National Lacrosse League Games And The NLL Regular Season On ESPN +

Earlier this year, we announced that the National Lacrosse League will air exclusively on ESPN and ESPN + in the United States. From December 4, 2021 to April 22, 2022, ESPN + will cover over 100 of the 139 NLL games. The matches will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with approximately 6 matches per week.

ESPN + subscribers can watch all of the high-stakes drama and hard-hitting action from the upcoming NLL season for just $ 6.99 per month, or $ 69.99 per year. As the holidays approach, an ESPN + gift subscription is the perfect gift to watch lacrosse and more on the sports streaming service.

ESPN’s linear networks will feature a roster of 10 games from the world’s largest and most successful professional lacrosse ownership, starting Saturday, December 11. All 10 games will appear on ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPNEWS throughout the NLL 2021-22 regular season.

“We are delighted to announce the game schedule to showcase all of our US franchises on ESPN’s linear networks as part of the most comprehensive broadcast package in league history,” said the commissioner of the NLL, Nick Sakiewicz. “These great games and slots will give maximum exposure to our game and its amazing players and further generate interest in the full roster of games that fans can enjoy every weekend on ESPN + as well as TSN in Canada.”

The league is looking to expand its audience and will feature Georgia Swarm and superstar Lyle Thompson four times on ESPN’s linear networks. The Panther City Lacrosse Club will play its first televised season from Dickies Arena. The Philadelphia Wings and New York Riptide will make three appearances each. Founded in 1986, the National Lacrosse League comprises 15 franchises across the United States and Canada, and the league ranks third in average professional indoor sports attendance worldwide, behind only the NHL and the NBA. The NLL plays “Box Lacrosse,” a variation of lacrosse where teams play within the confines of an ice rink rather than on a field.
