“I think she’s being forced to figure out what it means to be a superhero. It’s not just about jumping off buildings and making people smile. There’s, as she says, collateral damage. that can go together,” Steinfeld said. Explain. “But that doesn’t stop her. I think it throws her off and it changes her outlook on things, but it doesn’t stop that fire burning inside her to ultimately help people and protect people. She knows she is capable of that. And I think that alone can get us anywhere.”
In another appearance on the official D23 podcast, she explained why Avengers: Endgame was his favorite Marvel movie. There’s a lot to choose from, but the conclusion to the Infinity Saga really stands out for a lot of people.
“Yes, my short answer is yes. A favorite, it’s always hard for me to choose a favorite that I like [Avengers] Endgame,” she began. “Maybe that’s it. It’s Endgame until I watch another one, then it’ll be the one for a while. It’s a vicious cycle of swapping favourites.”
“But yeah, I grew up watching those movies. There’s something about them. It’s an experience of going to sit in a theater and watch those movies. That’s what makes you want to to be there,” added Steinfeld. “I mean, it’s the craziest thing, and what’s so amazing is that it’s been proven that even watching anything MCU from home is still such an important experience. I think that says a lot about the MCU and the people involved.”
