Mobile game developer and publisher Kabam Games has a new CEO as Seungwon Lee takes charge of the company.
His appointment was announced via a LinkedIn position, in which the company says its former CEO, Tim Fields, will remain in an advisory capacity for an indefinite period to help with the transition.
Lee joins Netmarble, where he spent seven years in senior roles, first as global director and then as co-CEO.
However, Lee has been involved with Kabam since Netmarble acquired the Vancouver studio and most of the company’s assets in early 2017. Since then, he has been chairman and president of the mobile phone company.
Fields was previously managing director of Kabam’s Vancouver studio and was named CEO after the Netmarble takeover.
“We thank Tim for his tremendous contributions to Kabam,” the company wrote.
“His leadership has helped create incredible experiences for our employees and players around the world.
