Love at first sight has long been part of the MCU rumor mill. Back in 2015, it was rumored that the villains would have their own Netflix series, but that didn’t materialize. In October 2021, the film received a lot of hype when it was revealed that a Love at first sight the film was in development, and was rumored to begin production in 2023.
The fun didn’t stop there as Deadline recently reported that Marvel Studios has already hired Jake Schreier to direct the film, with Black WidowEric Pearson is asked to write the screenplay. Now, Marvel Studios has an important update on the villain-led film.
The MCU’s Thunderbolts Are Finally Here
During the MCU Mega-Panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige officially announced Love at first sight, a team-up film featuring some of the franchise’s notable villains. The film will debut on July 26, 2024.

Feige also confirmed that Love at first sight will mark the end of phase 5.
