Corporate finance start-up Muse Finance has recruited Tarek AbdelKader as Chief Technology Officer. As part of its ongoing strategic plans to scale in 2022, AbdelKader joins the fold as a seasoned CTO with prior experience at financial companies including The Co-Operative Bank and Think Money Group, as well as software providers Blinx Solutions & Meta Software.

In particular, AbdelKader has been instrumental in facilitating technology improvements for The Co-operative Financial Services, resulting in savings of £1 million per year on approximately 10,000 loan claims. As an industry thought leader, AbdelKader has a proven track record of driving results from a technology service delivery position with internal and external stakeholders. Tarek comes at the right time to help Muse Finance scale.

At Muse Finance, AbdelKader will lead the migration to a fully serverless architecture model to provide users with more scalability and security. Elsewhere, he will oversee the integration of technologies for the implementation of Web3 on the main ledger and the use of AI for Muse’s credit decision.

By integrating end-to-end automations of customers’ web and mobile journeys, Tarek will also help provide digitized access to Muse products by accelerating customers’ funding applications and with a view to giving them access to funds in minutes rather than in a few days.

Tarek AbdelKader, technical director of Muse, said, “I look forward to introducing cutting-edge technology and changing the way our existing FinTech processes and operations work. What Muse Finance is working on is really exciting, and I look forward to being part of its continued growth.

Ann Marie Juliano, Founder and CEO of Muse Financesaid: “It took us some time to find the right solution to help us evolve during this next phase of the business. Tarek, by far, was an obvious choice, his experience and ability to stay stuck in coding are fantastic. We are thrilled to have Tarek on the team. He has already had a huge impact and will be instrumental in how we are able to serve our clients to give them stability and funds that they need.
