Last month, Sony completely overhauled its PlayStation Plus subscription service by combining it with PlayStation Now to create three new tiers: PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium. PS Plus Premium takes things a step further by adding retro games to the mix. It was unclear how often Sony would update the catalog of PS Plus games for the various tiers, but the first big update was confirmed for July 19.
