Children & Youth Partnership 13and Annual KidsFest will take place on Friday, May 6, 2022* at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children, parents, grandparents and child care programs are invited to participate in a morning of fun, music, games, crafts, exploration and playful activities, all FREE.

Although suspended due to the pandemic for the past two years, the Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County (CYP) is thrilled to be able to return to Festival Park in person this year to host this exciting outdoor celebration. young children return to the Dare County community. Event attendees can expect nearly 50 play opportunities for young children (birth to five years old), including the Rootle Roadster Tour, bubbles, costumed characters, a variety of arts and crafts. crafts, police cars, Buster the School Bus, snowballs, a fire truck, and more.

To ensure the safety of all attendees and exhibitors, activities will be spread across the grounds to minimize crowding, additional sanitizing stations will be provided for all and exhibitors will be asked to wear a mask throughout. of the event.

KidsFest has become an annual event celebrating the young child and promoting the importance of play in the development of young children’s minds and imaginations. Play and the right play environments allow children to discover, create, imagine, explore and experience materials that will promote language skills, writing, cooperation and science and math concepts. The Outer Banks are also a beautiful place for young children to connect with nature and develop a love for the outdoors, and Roanoke Island Festival Park is the perfect place for a wonderful morning of KidsFest fun and exploration!
